Sea Transport

In line with the expansion of borderless businesses around the world, door-to-door and other through-transit services have become a mainstream in international transport. Developing networks that are both qualitatively and quantitatively fulfilling is fundamental to providing international transport services. Keihin is no exception, having formed a global network in cooperation with its overseas affiliates and forwarding service providers in other economies. We boast a brilliant record of carrying cargo to and from Japan and between third nations, catering not only to North America, Europe and other Asian countries, but also to Central and South America, Africa, the Middle East and other regions. Proposing safe and optimum routes, we operate more accurate and faster services. The use of information technology (IT) underpins the development of logistics in today’s world. The Keihin group has established a network of international integrated transport services to which customers can entrust their shipments without anxiety. In this network, we operate a cargo tracking system that is linked with those of major forwarders in other countries and provide the items of logistics information that are essential when customers develop supply chain management (SCM) systems.

Dangerous cargo handling

We actively handle dangerous cargo, mainly to and from the ports of Tokyo and Yokohama. In particular, at the Port of Tokyo, where there are many regulations, we are the only logistics service provider to have contracted- warehousing facilities for hazardous items, contributing to greater convenience and economic efficiency.
