 The Rokko Cold Storage Distribution Center at the Port of Kobe’s Rokko Island is located conveniently in terms of accessibility, adjacent to the Harbor Highway and the Wangan line of the Hanshin Expressway.
It functions as a general logistics base covering the land, sea and air modes, as container berths and air cargo facilities (including those operated by Kobe Air Cargo City Terminal Co., Ltd. (K-CAT)) are available nearby, and refrigeration warehouses and other logistics facilities in its hinterland.
The Rokko Cold Storage Distribution Center, which enjoys an optimum location for serving distribution networks in western Japan, is equipped with airshelters that allow large trailers and trucks to have direct access, not only on the first floor, but also on the second floor.
In the warehousing space, freezers and refrigerators cover two temperature zones (minus 24 degrees and plus five degrees Celsius).
A 24-hour system is realized with reinforced storage as well as transport and delivery functions, including location management for inventory products with movable racks.
With systemized cargo handling and information systems - including not only bonded cargo management, but also an inspection facility designated by the local animal quarantine office, a temperature-managed extensive cargo handling zone and space for distribution processing - the Rokko Cold Storage Distribution Center deals with increases in product variation and decreases in volume.
It provides total physical distribution services that range from custom clearance, storage and distribution processing for imported foodstuffs to delivery and transport.
